BPMDS Iron Chef - Letter B

While we enjoyed a cool but sunny Bubb Park Mothers & Dogs Society potluck in the park, the Napa area was getting pounded with a marble-sized hail storm that left up to 6 inches in spots! Away to our east, we could see the towering tops of cumulus clouds that most likely were dropping heavy rain and rare lightning beneath them. The weather bureau reported 113 lightning strikes from late afternoon through 9 PM.

Though we had some attrition from reservation numbers, we still had 42 people representing 21 families along with 8 dogs to make it an enjoyable evening. Rising to our theme of Iron Chef - Letter B, the table was profuse with Baked Bread, Beans (even Bush's Best Baked Beans with Bacon), Bacon salad, Broccoli au gratin, Butternut squash salad, Brownies, and even a Bucket of chicken!

As always, we click or capture known neighbors and dogs walking past as well as those staying longer. So enjoy the pictures. We might have a "candle light" attempt on the last Friday of Daylight Savings on November 7th, but it will depend on the weather forecast starting about a week ahead. If we don't, have a great fall and holiday season and we'll be back at it in spring.
