BPMDS Back To Classerole Potluck 8/22/14

From oldest to newest, this was one great potluck. The vibrant resonance of the Bubb Park Mothers and Dogs Society is the way friendships grow and endure over the years. Tonight we had the oldest and newest folks having fun and enjoying tastes, treats, and just conversation.

Pick your numbers; it was 26 families, 66 people and 4 dogs that made it fun.

What a great mix. We had original BPMDS members, with grandchildren, hosting an exchange student from China; parents that had (pick your situation) kids going into 1) Kinder; 2) Middle School; 3) High School, or 4) choosing college. Wow! Scratch your heads as you look at the kids who are 15 going on 25; folks who are/were 5th grade teachers -- and now one a Middle School Principal.

Discount the "perfect weather", with some wind at the beginning and little at the end. And, the wonderful shade from the trees that were not Pollarded last winter.

Yes, this was the first potluck without Teak, our founding BPMDS dog. But she would be so happy that we had some hugs, shared some stories, and appreciated how she had been loved so much by so many. Many of us have lost a loved dog (or cat.) It's both a hard and special time. Sandy and I want to thank everyone who sent an email, shared a thought, gave us a hug, or, just shed a tear. Teak was an ambassador to the neighborhood and will live on, and hopefully inspire, the next generation of Bubb Park Dogs!!!
