A perfect evening for a Bubb Park Mothers & Dogs Society Potluck in the Park. Ideal weather conditions and a fun gathering of 21 families, with 57 people and 9 dogs, is was just about as good as it gets for a summer neighborhood gathering. The table below captures (as best we can) who was there.

Add in to the mix Jenny Paterson's great Junior Iron Chef competition and it was hard to tell who had more fun: the 8 participating kids, all the adults watching and cheering, or the 9 dogs waiting for morsels to drop. The kids did an impressive job of preparing dishes using the "Secret Ingredient" - corn. Kids could work individually or in teams, and could submit one or two dishes, only one of which could be sweet. While it was a competition, every one of the kids prepared a tasty offering that was well presented. We all were blessed because the participating families have done this a few times before and the kids continue to improve. In addition to the Pattersons, a very special thanks to the Kahn/Safran, Klemens, Landa, and Sasaki families for a fun and delicious feast. We had two more potential Junior Chefs whose schedules caught up with them, but we hope they, and more, will participate the next time we play Iron Chef. The table below shows the participants, presentations and scoring. But, the spectacular part is the dishes themselves.
