We had a fun turnout of more than 72 people from 27+ families, and more than 14 dogs. I know I've missed some names of people and dogs - mostly friends of those listed below, so if you let me know, I'll add them to the attendance list.

We are also always happy to add folks to The List who enjoy Bubb Park and would like to be regular attendees.

So what was "Bloomsday": (Irish: Lá Bhloom) a commemoration observed annually on 16 June in Dublin and elsewhere to celebrate the life of Irish writer James Joyce and relive the events in his novel Ulysses (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ulysses_(novel)), all of which took place on the same day in Dublin in 1904. The day is a secular holiday in Ireland. The name derives from Leopold Bloom, the protagonist of Ulysses, and 16 June was both the date on which the book takes place and the date of Joyce's first outing with his wife-to-be, Nora Barnacle, when they walked to the Dublin village of Ringsend.
